A friend and I were introduced to the Mitre by a native Londoner who is a regular patron, and it was fabulous! The owner is a lovely man, very friendly and welcoming. The Mitre is a small pub that dates back to the 1500s, so you get to experience a little bit of history with your tipple.

The first time I tracked down Ye Olde Mitre – at the end of a ridiculous alley that could have been someone’s side passage if only it weren’t too narrow – I was charmed by its hidden-away magic. But sadly, it was closed.
