Classic Shell works on Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 and their server counterparts (Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016). Both 32 and 64-bit versions are supported. The same installer works for all versions. Note: Windows RT is not supported.

Mar 30, 2006 · I reccently replaced my old 98 machine with an Xp Desktop, and noticed that the classic view that is offered in windows xp, has a different icon than the one in windows 98. I know their is a way to get the icon from a 98 computer its like a 16x16 bitmap image, but can't find anyplace that will offer it.

Dec 3, 2024 · Try these as well for Windows 10 Windows 98 Start buttons, similar to Windows 95. They can be set to " Button size : 0 "so still look pixelated sharp. Only for regular 100%/ 96dpi system size, or will go fuzzy.

4 days ago · Right mouse click on your start orb, click settings, select Taskbar label, click Customize taskbar to enable the changes, then go to Taskbar texture, click at the end of the line, browse to the folder where you saved your taskbar image to load. As a side note, you may need to tweak Horizontal and Vertical stretching, using Adapt.

I attached a xml file to load for the menu to work, and a classic icons.zip for the classic icons from Windows 98.
