Unless you’re able to enter service mode first, having the correct Service Tool won’t help in any way because this service tool only works on a printer that has entered the service mode condition.

Jan 18, 2010 · It might be a false positive but I recommend using an old dedicated computer or just a spare harddisk for the service tool. See this thread about the same problem as yours. Sadly the link to the free download of service tool v4720 doesn't work any more. Also see this and this, BTW the service tool does not make the ink in the absorbers go away.

The version 3400 of the service tool supports all versions of Windows from XP and newer both 32 and 64 bit.
