The Ducal Castle, also known as the Pomeranian Dukes' Castle, [a] and Szczecin Castle, [b] is a renaissance castle in the city of Szczecin, Poland, located at the Castle Hill in the Stare Miasto (Old Town) neighbourhood, near the Oder river. It is built in the gothic and Pomeranian mannerism architectural style.

The Pomeranian Dukes’ Castle in Szczecin is the oldest and most magnificent historical seat of the rulers from the Griffin family who ruled over Pomerania between the 13th and the mid-17th century.

Szczecin doesn't have great tourist sites like Warsaw, Gdansk or Cracow but the Pomeranian Dukes Castle is certainly worth a visit. There are old artifacts on display and they have concerts in the courtyard. The best attraction is the bell tower. You can walk the steps up to the top for a good view of the town.
