Sep 11, 2020 · Reading through posts the Nitto Terra Grappler G2 seems to be well liked. I noticed the Nitto seems to have (at least some what recently?) come out with another tire called the Ridge Grappler. Reading the documentation the Ridge seems to be a All Terrain / Mud Terrain hybrid, some websites seem to give it an overall edge over the Terra Grappler.

Aug 23, 2018 · The Ridge Grappler is very over-rated I think. If you look at a Falken Wildpeak A/T3W, Goodforayear DuraTrac, Cooper Discoverer ATW, etc. you will see a LOT more siping and a more circumferential tread design. Much better for rain and snow. The Ridge Grappler looks like a tire that would work great on packed dirt or sand.

Sep 3, 2019 · The Ridge Grappler will be better on road. It will be a smoother and quieter ride. It will also do well off road in most scenarios besides deep mud. Mud is one area the Trail Grappler will perform considerably better.

Jan 31, 2022 · I am leaning towards the Boss AT as it comes with the 3pmsf winter tire designation. I live in Atlantic Canda where the ground is covered in snow and ice 4 months of the year. The 3pmsf is a must in my climate. I also think they will perform a little better offroad compared to the Ridge Grappler based on the tread design.

Aug 21, 2022 · I’d do the Nitto Ridge Grapplers for your uses all day long. The Trail Grapplers are a great tire, but for mostly highway, they are not ideal. I have a friend who drives tons of miles.. he put a set of 35 inch Ridge Grapplers on when he bought the truck new and I’ve seen the truck weekly.. he got 99k miles out of them on a Ram 3500 mega cab.
