The area known as The Mara Triangle spans across 510 square kilometers, approximately one third of the entire Masai Mara National Reserve. In the past this region was the scene of widespread poaching leading to the death of thousands of animals each year.

The Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s greatest wildlife reserves, is situated in south-west Kenya. The reserve covers a piece of land equaling 1,510 square kilometers or 580 square miles.
