I'm primarily using it to feed a signal into parts of a circuit, then use a scope to see how the signal changes. But another part of the fg is Sweep (internal/external), Sweep rate and Sweep Width.

Dec 6, 2013 · On an Agilent signal generator I used, that was precisely the purpose of the load impedance switch. For instance, you command the generator to output 1 Vrms. The generator will internally create the 1Vrms, which will go thru its internal 50 ohm series resistor, into the output connector and your load.

A pulse shaper (as utilized in the said mononlithic function generators as well) has the advantage of not requiring an amplitude control loop with long settling time at low frequencies.

Jan 12, 2005 · Connect the inverting pin of opamp to ground, and the non-inverting pin to your function generator. Use 5 volts for the Vcc for opamp, and GND for the other power supply pin polarity. Use an LF357 maybe? (this opamp is relatively good, i think).

Aug 11, 2011 · I have an assignment that I should design a function generator in pspice. It converts square wave to sine wave by using schmitt trigger and an intergrator. Firstly, I should take square wave output from schmitt trigger than convert it sine wave by integrator but I cannot do the design. Also, I should use LM158JG for opamps.

Nov 2, 2004 · Re: Function Generator Design Are you really restricted to op amps? The triangular and saw tooth can be done with discrete transistor current sources driving a cpacitor. The saw tooth sharp edge by a transistor discharging the capacitor. Then use the op amps for inversion, gain, and DC offsets.
