We invite you to explore Historic Pensacola and experience the rich heritage of America’s first multi-year settlement. Historic Pensacola encompasses nine acres located within the footprints of the original Spanish and British forts in downtown Pensacola.

Just minutes from beautiful beaches on the Gulf Coast, Historic Pensacola is nestled in the heart of downtown Pensacola.

Historic Pensacola encompasses 8 1/2 acres and 30 properties, 12 of which are open to the public. As you experience our site, you'll see examples of a range of architectural styles including Mediterranean Revival, Renaissance Revival, Greek Revival, Classical Revival, French Creole, and Folk Victorian.

The site’s historical significance extends beyond its antebellum roots including a few small Civil War skirmishes, the Arcadia Farms period during the late 19th to early 20th century, the Great Depression, and the historic preservation movement that protected the site during the 1960s.

Hands-on exploration of Pensacola history for children age 13 and younger! Come see what colonial life was like in Pensacola. Other play areas explore Pensacola’s military, maritime, industrial, multicultural, Native American and Civil War history.

Completed in 1832, Old Christ Church is one of the oldest surviving church buildings in Florida, serving the Pensacola community as an Episcopal Church, public library and museum. The building was also occupied by federal troops during the Civil War. The restored church provides a beautiful backdrop for weddings, concerts and speaking events.

1,000 sq. ft. exhibit highlights Arcadia’s unique story by exploring the historical and archaeological aspects of the site including the children’s area, “Meet Me at the Mill” featuring an educational exhibit with hands-on displays.

The Historic House Tours are Tuesday through Saturday at our new times of 11:00, 1:00, and 2:00. The Historic House Tour goes through the Lavalle House, Old Christ Church, Dorr House, and the Lear/Rocheblave House.
