Master cylinder drops fluid in the footwell above the pedals normally feel around up their for wet fluid, if no fluid probably the slave 👍🏻. That's clutch though, not brakes like the OP is talking above. Brake slave cylinder would be the caliper.

Apr 2, 2020 · I can't seem to find anyone with an answer. Master Cylinder failed on my 2006 Ford Focus. I bought a new one from my local Napa and typically I always bench bleed my master cylinders. I keep reading everywhere how important it is to get all of the air out on these focus'.

Remove and discard the 2 brake master cylinder nuts and remove the brake master cylinder. Discard the vacuum seal. To install, tighten the new nuts to 18 Nm (159 lb-in). Before installing the master cylinder make sure that the new vacuum seal is in place and that the mating faces are clean. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Jan 16, 2024 · Make 100% sure if you buy a standalone master, it has the internal metal piece that this 3rd sensor picks up from. You won't be able to verify this visually. You can try looking at the application chart, if it says it fits a focus RS, then it should have that piece inside.

Jun 3, 2024 · I check around the car, all brake lines look fine, no dripping, nothing. I check the footwell and sure enough there's brake fluid leaking inside the car. Clutch Master Cylinder is toast and leaking.
