The National Transportation Safety Board says it has recovered a cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder from the American Airlines plane that collided with an Army Black Hawk helicopter near Reagan National Airport late Wednesday.

That’s because American Airlines has retired that number after the deadly plane crash in Washington, D.C., said Jesse Romo, Wichita’s director of airports. But on Friday, Wednesday’s flight information was still on the departure screens at Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport.

Officials said all 60 passengers aboard the plane, the four flight crew members and three soldiers in the helicopter are dead.
