If Patrick Mahomes can lead the Kansas City Chiefs to an unprecedented third straight Super Bowl victory when they face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, expect the debate over the NFL's greatest-ever dynasty to heat up.

Sports dynasties are pretty great. And the current NFL royals, the Kansas City Chiefs —who on Feb. 9 will try to become the first team ever to win three straight Super Bowls—are no different.

With six titles, New England Patriots and the Pittsburg Steelers are the two most successful teams in Super Bowl history.

New England went to 10 Super Bowls between 2001 and 2019, and the Patriots won six. Mahomes has led the Chiefs to five Super Bowls, including Sunday's, since the 2019 season. It could have been more had it not been for the Patriots in the 2018 season, when Brady led New England to a 37-31 overtime in the AFC Championship Game.

The Chiefs succeeded the Patriots as a Super Bowl-winning dynasty. And they, like the Patriots, have become the team that some fans love to hate.

Although there are no direct reports of the Chiefs copying New England’s strategies, it is likely they have analyzed the Patriots
