Manchester City’s turbulent season took another major knock on Wednesday after it suffered a calamitous defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League group stage.

In the highlight fixture of the day in the Champions League between two teams desperate for a victory, PSG defeated Manchester City 4–2 at the Parc des Princes. Both teams looked cautious in the first half. Chances were few and far between, with an emphasis in defending well and maintaining a well structured shape taking center stage.

However, Ousmane Dembele pulled one back and Bradley Barcola brought PSG level by the hour mark, before Joao Neves headed the French champions in front and Goncalo Ramos wrapped up the win at the death after a long VAR check.
