PHILADELPHIA -- Ilya Sorokin made 23 saves to help the New York Islanders win their sixth straight game, 3-0 against the Philadelphia Flyers at Wells Fargo Center on Thursday. Simon Holmstrom, Marc Gatcomb and Kyle Palmieri scored for New York (23-20-7), which extended its season-high winning streak and also won its fourth straight on the road.

Ilya Sorokin made 23 saves and Marc Gatcomb scored his first NHL goal as the surging New York Islanders skated to a 3-0 road victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday.

The New York Islanders (23-20-7) marched into the Wells Fargo Center and soundly defeated the Philadelphia Flyers (23-24-6) 3-0 on Thursday night.

Sorokin's 29 saves led the Islanders to a 3-1 victory over the Flyers. The New York Islanders picked up a key 3-1 Metropolitan Division victory over the Philadelphia Flyers Friday night. Brock Nelson had a goal and an assist and Bo Horvat had the game-winning goal while Ilya Sorokin stopped 29 of 30 shots for his 15th win of the season.
