The mayor's office is accused of attempting to censor video footage from a controversial City Council meeting about censorship.

Ald. Byron Sigcho-Lopez was told to leave a committee meeting during a debate over a controversial pro-Gaza puppet display at the Chicago Cultural Center.

A piece of art at the Chicago Cultural Center set off a heated discussion in City Council Chambers Tuesday. The display, titled "U.S-Israel War Machine," is part of an exhibit on puppets. A group of alderpeople want it removed.

Ald. Byron Sigcho-Lopez was ejected from the meeting of the Special Events Committee by the normally affable chair, Ald. Nick Sposato: “You can’t call anybody a white supremacist. You gotta go,” Sposato said.

A group of aldermen want a display, titled U.S.-Israel War Machine, to be removed from the Cultural Center. Sabrina Franza reports.
