Despite a host of injuries, Springer was unable to push his way into any meaningful playing time prior to Wednesday night. He had been on the floor for just 72 minutes over 19 games, most of those coming in garbage time.

Springer is probably the best young player the Celtics have, and has a ton of potential to be great. Currently, he is only averaging 2 points and a rebound this season, but that’s due to the fact he barely plays. When he does, he shows flashes of greatness.
