Memphis Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane will have his No. 1 TCU jersey retired in February, the school announced.

Even though Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson could have bigger roles on offense on a more regular basis, there's no question Bane has found a way to stand out as a reliable scoring threat for Memphis. He's scored at least 20 points in five games in a row, averaging 22.2 points, 5.6 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game in that span.

The current Memphis Grizzlies guard will be honored during a halftime ceremony on Feb. 18, during TCU's men's basketball game against Texas Tech.

Jaren Jackson Jr. had 24 points, including 15 in the fourth quarter, and Desmond Bane added 22 points as the Memphis Grizzlies used a late rally to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 108-106.

Memphis (28-15) has its own dynamic point guard in Ja Morant and a group of co-stars including Desmond Bane and Jaren Jackson Jr. Bane has scored 20 or more points in five straight games, and Jackson led the Grizzlies with 24 points and 11 rebounds in Monday's win against the Timberwolves.
