The 15-time major champion posted on social media that he tried his best to prepare for the tournament but is still processing the passing of his mother.

Tiger Woods abruptly withdrew from the Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines on Monday, saying he was still processing the death of his mother. Kultida Woods died unexpectedly last Tuesday at the age of 80.

Tiger Woods had committed last week to the event at Torrey Pines in San Diego, which was relocated due to the Los Angeles wildfires.
