Lloyds and Halifax banking apps hit by service outage - Both banks confirmed customers have had issues ‘making and/or receiving payments’ and said they are working ‘to have everything back to normal’.

Customers started experiencing issues with the Lloyds and Halifax banking services at around 7am this morning.

It comes after many Barclays customers were affected by an outage that affected payments for nearly three days

Among the Greater Manchester branches affected are the Lloyds in Farnworth, Bolton, which will close in May. The Halifax in Walkden, Salford, will be next to close in September, followed by Lloyds in Bury and Halifax in Bolton during the autumn. The Lloyds bank in Manchester Moston is then set to close next year.

Lloyds, Halifax and the Bank of Scotland are having major problems with their apps and online banking, leaving customers unable to see their money. Lloyds Bank apologised to affected customers and said that it was “working to have everything back to normal”.
