HPD investigators say the black Pontiac G6 exited the freeway at West Gulf Bank where he struck a curb and culvert and then rolled several times.

The Houston Police Department Sgt. Griffiths reports around 3 a.m. several calls came in about a wrong way driver on I-45. It is believed based on the timing of the calls prior to the crash, the female driver in a truck was going the wrong way for about 10 to 15 minutes.

A driver has died after losing control of his vehicle near the North Freeway on Friday night, according to Houston police.

The woman who police say drove the wrong way in the southbound lanes early Thursday, killing a Jeep Cherokee driver, is charged with intoxication manslaughter.
