Joe Gibbs Racing had talked for years about what to do if a team car needed to have a wheel tightened after leaving its pit stall.

NASCAR sent a clarification on Thursday to Cup, Xfinity, and Craftsman Truck Series teams about pitting in another team’s stall. The update comes after Christopher Bell pulled into Chase Briscoe’s pit stall for a loose wheel adjustment during last week’s race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Christopher Bell used a teammate's stall to pit at Vegas, and NASCAR might eventually need to take more action regarding that strategy.
