A piece of art at the Chicago Cultural Center set off a heated discussion in City Council Chambers Tuesday. The display, titled "U.S-Israel War Machine," is part of an exhibit on puppets. A group of alderpeople want it removed.

Ald. Byron Sigcho-Lopez was ejected from the meeting of the Special Events Committee by the normally affable chair, Ald. Nick Sposato: “You can’t call anybody a white supremacist. You gotta go,” Sposato said.

The controversy over an art display at the Chicago Cultural Center bubbled over to City Hall, where divisions over a pro-Palestinian protest puppet were on full display Tuesday.
