The Brooklyn Nets announced on Saturday that they have waived Ben Simmons, ending a partnership that began during the 2021-21 season via trade.

Simmons, who reportedly will sign with the Clippers, played in 33 of the Nets' 52 games this season, and averaged 6.2 points and 6.9 assists. He is making $40 million.
