The U.S. Military Academy at West Point has ordered a dozen cadet clubs focused on ethnicity and gender to disband in response to the Trump administration’s push to eliminate diversity programs throughout government.

The military academy ordered the closure of a dozen clubs for students affiliated with its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion office.

The United States Military Academy at West Point has moved to dismantle 12 cadet organizations, including affinity groups and engineering societies, following President Donald Trump’s executive orders to eliminate diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts across the federal government.

The U.S. Military Academy disbanded 12 affinity groups and placed all other clubs under review, in accordance with President Trump's crackdown on DEI.

The memo said all student clubs would undergo a review to ensure they comply with the Trump administration push to eliminate diversity, equity and inclusion policies.

The memo, dated Tuesday, listed sanctioned clubs that were disbanded, including the Asian-Pacific Forum Club, the Latin Cultural Club and the National Society of Black Engineers Cub.
