After helping lead the Texas Longhorns to one of their more memorable regular-season wins in recent memory, freshman guard Tre Johnson is being honored. Johnson was named the SEC Freshman of the Week Monday,

He flipped the ball to Julian Larry on the right wing, who in turn found Tramon Mark isolated against Texas A&M's Wade Taylor IV on the far side. Mark, the taller man by 5 inches, took Taylor right to the rim, where he kissed the decisive basket off the glass and in to give the Longhorns a memorable 70-69 win.

Granted, it was just one game in late January, but if there was ever a time Rodney Terry needed his Longhorns to summon their best, it sure was Saturday. Texas A&M ran up a 22-point lead in the second half as Buzz Williams’ Aggies ran roughshod through Moody Center.

Earlier in the game, Texas trailed 51-29 after Texas A&M star guard Wade Taylor IV buried a three-point basket with 17:07 to play in the second half. Johnson and the Longhorns went on to score 41 points in the remaining minutes of the game.
