Former transport minister S Iswaran has been placed on home detention as of Friday (Feb 7). Iswaran will serve the remaining eight months of his one-year sentence at home, under specific conditions. These include curfew monitoring using an electronic monitoring tag,

Subramaniam Iswaran was imprisoned on 7 October after he pleaded guilty to accepting gifts worth more than S$403,000 ($300,000; £240,000) while in office, as well as obstructing the course of justice.
