All eyes in the mobile world are currently focused on the Samsung Galaxy S25 range, but don’t lose sight of a bargain elsewhere – especially if it’s the outgoing top model. I’ve had my eyes on the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra over the past month,

The S25 Ultra is lighter at 218g compared to the 233g that the S24 Ultra weighs. In addition, the S25 Ultra has a more rounded, flat design when compared to the S24 Ultra. Samsung says that the S25 Ultra is 0.4 mm thinner than the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

In its Geekbench 6 CPU benchmark results, the Galaxy S25 Ultra achieved an impressive single-core score of 3106, putting it well ahead of the S24 Ultra, which scored 2136. Admittedly, its single-core score did not beat the iPhone 16 Pro Max, which still leads at 3429, however, the S25 Ultra's multi-core scores are another matter entirely.
