VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — In Virginia Beach, a judge has granted bond to three former sheriff’s deputies charged in connection with the death of Rolin Hill, a man who died in their custody.

Rolin Hill, 34, suffered a medical emergency in June while deputies at the Virginia Beach city jail were trying to book him. He was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he died six days later.
