The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won or is leading in 48 seats in the 70-member legislative assembly, while the incumbent Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is ahead in 22 seats, according to data from the Election Commission of India (EC).

The BSE Sensex stood at 77,635.30, down 224.89 points or 0.29 per cent. Nifty stood at 23,495.35, down 64.60 points or 0.27 per cent.

In Delhi, 12 seats are reserved for candidates belonging to SC communities. In the 2020 Assembly elections, all these seats were won by AAP. But this time, BJP has wrested four – 3 of them have over 25% Dalit population – of these 12 reserved seats.
