This park is very large and offers many activities. There’s a dry camping area. There’s also a campground that has electricity and water connections with a dump station. The cactus garden was nice. …Full review by TravelingBum52

It’s a park on lake with lots of places to go boating but not much else. Not really scenic or nice to sit on water. Unless you have a ost scc CD podFull review by Vickers55

I just peeked into the cactus garden while passing by. I do recall seeing some cactus, but I can't be certain of the type. There did look to be plenty of colorful flowers and greenery and the area was very shaded. It was actually very pretty. It would be worth a walk through.

A:
Late April early May the spring breakers are gone. Should be pretty quiet depending on events that might be going on.

is this area only for camping, ot is like you can visit any time and have a bbq there while enjoying a good splash at the lake?

Where we stay was for camping. However, they do have a day area for picnic and gatherings at the north end of park.

I wouldn't rule it out just like I wouldn't rule out scorpions but highly doubtful. Your basically in the middle of town.
