Very emotional and heartfelt. Obey the rules of the memorial, please. There are no names on the memorial, which makes it mean even more. It should bring a tear to your eyes. Score: 9.5/10.0Full review by BrookeVCU

Holocaust Museum and Memorial - very emotional and very well done - the museum is located under the Memorial and is free to enter. The memorial itself is haunting - concrete blocks of varying sizes …Full review by 797SusanB

Yes, the info center is free, there was about a 30 minute queue time for us. This is due to security checks , similar to airport, bags scanned etc.... the exhibition initially sets the tone as to the timeline of events leading to the holocaust, then switches to personal testament, fragments of letters. The two combined make for a very special free experience that is very moving. Enjoy the reflection

It is a good question. I definitely agree that the audio guide would not be appropriate. Personally, I found this museum to be very moving, but I don’t recall there to be many graphic pictures of dead bodies etc. I would focus less on the enormity of the tragedy and instead look at the individual stories of those who perished. There is one room which details letters sent by those who later died and that would be something a 12 year old would be able to comprehend. To conclude, I would only take a mature 12 year old child here.
