A beautiful day (we were lucky) and a very enjoyable, relatively calm trip around Skomer. We saw many seals and a variety of sea birds as well as choughs. Great, knowledgeable commentary throughout!Full review by Ivan F

Hi, i was looking to go on the seabird spectacular in the summer, is it a suitable boat to take a decent camera on (fully aware if anything happens it will be on my head!) I take it that it is a fairly laid back ride dependent on weather.

Absolutely! Safe little boat and they won’t travel if too rough. You can sit in the middle to avoid excess spray. You’ll need the camera as birds are wonderful in the island!

No hotels in Marloes which is the nearest village, but the Lobster Pot pub has rooms I think and Foxdale Guest house does too. It is a lovely little village and has one shop and one pub. less than Ten minutes drive from the boat at Martin's haven. We stayed in a self catering cottage. No boats on Mondays and Tuesday tends to be their busiest day.
