Hello, as the beach itself is very long (kilometers) you can choose a suitable point (nearest sea) (we drove by car, so easy to choose the best suitable for us), and went back (up) towards monuments, visitor center etc. Be aware that sea water level, it's safe only when water level is at it's lowest (low tide). Coastal local road (narrow roads) are quite near sea, and there are certain walk traps,,, but eg. wheelchair would be difficult to use. At low water times sand is easy to walk, I'll try to send one photo of that.

Hi, I will be travelling to Normandy with my reenacting group for the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings. I'm wondering is it possible to get on to the beach at 06:30 or are the beaches closed for dignitaries that day ? We would only want to be there for about 30 minutes, hopefully long before any remembrance events begin.
A:
I don’t know for sure. We were told it will be tough to get anywhere close.
