Can you swim in here?? I can't see swimming as one of the things to do here, but I want to make sure. I am planning a family visit soon.

Personally, I would not. We kayaked there and the water gave off a terrible odor. The bottom was a muddy silt that stuck to our paddles like tar. The south side of the reserve is ocean fed, so if you swim, do so south of the damn.
I was wondering if there is someplace nearby that offers equestrian camping? I would like to plan a day trip to Guana with my horses but will need somewhere to spend the night.
