The park (like most if not all parks in Jackson) didn’t allow dogs, so we got photos in front of the antler arches and left. Touristy and crowded. Full review by TravelinFools66

The square is pretty iconic. Everyone takes pictures there. And the town radiates around it. It’s also very pretty and a place to sit and enjoy the mountain air. Full review by Flyingboy58

No, they would remain open year round. Quite a bit of snow in the winter though can damper ones spirit.

That’s a big fat “no.” There are signs saying it will be enforced, but people were walking their dogs in there. The whole town is very dog “unfriendly.”

I recommend the Million dollar cowboy bar. Nice atmosphere, pool tables, good music, beer and food. Don`t forget your ID. Downstairs there is a high end steakhouse

Early October can be a very good time of year with far fewer crowds, fishing is good as well as hiking and other activities.Parks are open and easy to get around. Leaves are about gone that time of year. Weather can usually be good with sunny days and mid 60"s to cooler 50's during day and can reach20's. usually mid to upper 30"s at night. There is always a chance of snow but will not be prolonged at that time of year.
