I went on my own and loved it as an adult, but I would have brought my kids at any age they would love the layout and the play spaces as well as the hands-on elements of the whole site!

Hi Kirsty, I'm afraid we don't allow dogs to visit the museum itself but there are grass areas in our car park for stretching paws and there is a fenced dog area opposite reception where you are welcome (at your own risk) to leave your dog while you visit. If you would like to use it, just let them know at reception that your dog is in there and they will keep an eye and take your mobile phone number for while you are in the museum. There are lots of lovely walks around the village for either before or after your visit, we hope you can come and see us. Best wishes Highland Folk Museum
