There are marked trails throughout the Dungeness Wildlife Refuge. However we took the smaller upper trail that mostly parallels the main trail down to the spit.

I have seen some people who do bike the trail to the spit I don't think it would be advisable. The trail is not that long and is frequented by may people. Also that last hill down to the shore is rather steep and a bike might be considered a hazard to pedestrian traffic. Not being a biker, I'm not sure, but once you reach the shore I doubt the rocky beach and sand would provide a good surface to bike.

Dogs are not allowed on the trail, unfortunately. I think they are allowed in the camp and picnic areas.
