The Clean Energy Transition Institute is an independent, nonpartisan Northwest nonprofit organization whose mission is to accelerate an equitable transition to a clean energy economy in the Northwest. We use an independent, nonpartisan, systemic, economy-wide lens to advance technical, economic, and equitable decarbonization solutions focused on the unique characteristics of our four-state region, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington. Our vision is to decarbonize the Northwest economy at the speed and scale that climate science requires. We are based in Seattle and tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (EIN 83-0644369).
