This depends on where you are headed after Mt Baker and what you'd consider beautiful...I don't know of a quick way to drive to this park from Cascade. It's probably at least 2 hours one way from Mt Baker ski area. Chilliwack Lake is at the end of a 40km secondary "highway" (a paved road) that runs through a river valley with forest, small ranch lands/hobby farms & medium sized mountains. There are a few nice stops to have a snack by the river and a few nice mountain views, but you'll have to drive back out the same way you came in. Check on the local forest fire situation before you plan as this summer was very smoky and views were extremely limited. Bears are a possibility.
