For an adult the fare is £7.50. That is for a one way ticket. You would most probably like to buy a return ticket. The price for an adult return ticket is £11.50 One adult with one child (max. 15 years old) return ticket is £13.50 For a family of two adults and two children, a return trip is £27 and for every additional child you pay £3. Children from 0-3 years travel free. Senior citizens have a bit of a discount of £1 less than the adult fares. You can buy a ticket online, or do what I did: just get in the train and pay in cash.
